Hello all, this shall be my first update!!
For those of you that do not know, for the first time ever, one of my pieces has been accepted into an exhibit!! The exhibit is the DAMNED and is quickly making a name for itself on the world stage! You can check out information about it here: http://www.thatdamnedshow.com.
The show will be held over three nights, October 25th, 26th, and 27th 2012 and will consist of more than just art. On top of featured art from all over the world, there will be live performances regularly throughout the night, as well as several featured events, such as a Absinth tasting, a formal diner and a Masquerade Ball!! This is not an event to miss under normal circumstances, I have attended in the past even when I do not have art in the show, and have really enjoyed myself!!
I am pretty excited to say the least. The piece I have submitted is called “Dark Fate” and was taken in basement of the Leland Hotel and features the model FIA. The piece is print on canvas and is framed in an antique frame from end of the 1800’s (or so the antique store told me). In either case, I think the frame suits it nicely. I will not be giving away much more information about the piece, you will just have to go see it for yourself, but let’s just say that it has a very dark theme as the name suggests!!
In addition to the main piece, I will also have, for the first time, additional images for sale at the show as well. I will have on hand 12 images of some of my darker work, each available in 8×10 and 5×7. I spent all this week getting the images printed, packaged, labeled and ready for the show.
Please make plans to stop by at least one of the nights, and if you do, please stop by to say “HI”, as I will be there from open to close on all three nights AND I will also be working for the army during the day, so I will need the conversation just to stay awake!! Also, if you do stop by to say “HI”, please mention that you have been to my site and let me know what you think so far – just remember that this is a site under construction and there will certainly more goodness to follow.
